Verde Vittorio – of East Boston, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 25, 2017.
Devoted husband of Assunta (Iarrobino) Verde.
Devoted father of Antonieta Chisari and husband Antonio of Reading, and Carmine Verde of East Boston.
Dear brother of Lisa, Filomena, Geraldo, and the late Giovanni, Peppo, Carmine and Vincenzo.
Cherished grandfather of Christina, Angela and Jessica.
Adored great grandfather of Adam and Caleb.
Aso survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Vittorio by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston on Wednesday May 31 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Thursday morning at 11:00am in the Elevation Chapel, 150 Lowell Avenue, Newton MA for a funeral service in celebration of Vittorio’s life. Please meet at the church by 10:50am.
In honoring Vittorio’s life, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elevation Chapel, 150 Lowell Ave., Newton MA.
Vittorio was born in Gesualdo, Italy on June 2, 1934 to the late Carmine and Antonietta (Gregorio) Verde. Vittorio left Italy in the late 1950’s and settled in Caracas, Venezuela where he lived until 1973. He then moved to Boston and settled in East Boston. Vittorio worked for many years as a pattern cutter in the garment industry before he retired. He passed away peacefully in the Whidden Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning after a brief illness.

Services will conclude with Vittorio being laid to rest in Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton Centre.
