Casaletto, Robert “Bubba” – of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday May 24, 2017.
Beloved husband of Roberta (Babine) Casaletto.
Devoted father of Robert Jr. and wife Toni-Ann, Jason John and wife Tara, all of Saugus.
Dear brother of Enrico and wife Patricia of Salem NH, Rosemarie Martorano of East Boston, and the late John Casaletto.
Cherished grandfather of Robert lll, Ashley, Jason, Courtney, and Madison.
Also survived by his close friend Nicholas Giardina of Brockton.
Family and friends will honor “Bubba’s” life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston on Sunday May 28th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, and again on Monday morning at 8:30am before leaving in procession to the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street in East Boston for a funeral mass in celebration of Robert’s life at 10:00am.
Robert, or “Bubba” as many knew him, was born in Boston on July 25, 1942 to the late John and Rose (Nuttoli) Casaletto. He served his country in the US Army and worked as a postal employee, and for the City of Boston Public Works. Robert was a past member Orient Heights Civic Club and Knights of Columbus, Revere.
In honor of Roberts’ life, memorial donations may be made to the East Boston Central Catholic School, 69 London Street, East Boston MA 02128.
The funeral home is handicapped accessible. A children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking is available at the front entrance.
