Alzate, Humberto A. – of Framingham, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Tuesday June 6th after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59.
Beloved spouse of Phillip Dixon of Framingham.
Devoted son of Maria Perez of East Boston.
Dear brother of Nidia Alzate of East Boston, Juan Alzate of Florida, Maria Vitillo of Wakefield, Martha Dywer of Winthrop, and Hector Alzate of East Boston.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his cherished dog Lola.
Family and friends will honor Humberto’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston on Thursday June 8th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Friday morning at 8:30 AM before leaving in procession to the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Maverick Street in East Boston for a 10:00 AM funeral mass in celebration of Humberto’s life.
Humberto was born in Colombia on June 4, 1958. He worked as a technician at the Children’s Hospital for many years. Humberto passed away on Tuesday morning surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral home is handicapped accessible. A children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking is available at the front entrance.
