Zuccaro, Grace A. (Luongo) – of East Boston passed away on Wednesday June 7th at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of John Zuccaro Sr.
Devoted mother of John Zuccaro Jr. and his wife Catherine of Billerica, Richard Zuccaro and his wife Mary Beth of Saugus, and David Zuccaro of Boston.
Dear sister of Frank Luongo of Parrish, Florida and Helen Pellecchia of East Boston, as well as the late Alfred, Annette, Carmella and George.
Cherished Nana of Atty, John Zuccaro III, Richard Zuccaro and Kyle Zuccaro.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will honor Grace by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston on Monday June 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM before leaving in procession to the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street in East Boston for a 11:00 AM funeral mass in celebration of Grace’s life.
Grace was born in Boston to Marino and Amalia Luongo on July 2, 1927. She was well known throughout the neighborhood as a community activist and a School Traffic Supervisor for District 7. She was the 1994 East Boston Columbus Day Woman of the Year. Grace served as a board member and volunteer for East Boston APAC, East Boston CDC, East Boston Land Use Council, as well as being a passionate advocator and protector of the neighborhood she loved so much, East Boston. Grace passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

Services will conclude with Grace being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street in Everett.
